The court said that Yoon Suk Yeol used the military for political purposes.

According to the news agency, a new presidential election will be held in South Korea within 60 days.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol had imposed a brief martial law in the country on December 3, 2024, against which the opposition moved a no-confidence motion. The opposition party’s first motion to impeach the president failed, on which the opposition coalition presented the motion for the second time to impeach the president, which was approved and the president was given office.
