Matric exams begins in Karachi from today

The annual examinations of Class 9 and 10 being conducted by Board of Secondary Education have commenced in Karachi from today.

During the examinations, the process of delivery of necessary examination equipment is also going on, under which the board officials are delivering the examination papers at hub centers.

The center control officers are delivering these papers to the respective examination centers, and all these officers are present at the centers during the paper.

A total of 499 examination centers have been set up for 375,000 students, of which 256 centers are reserved for students and 243 centers are reserved for girl students.

These centers have been set up in 18 different towns of the city. During the examinations, students have been warned not to bring mobile phones with them, as mobile phones will be confiscated in case of violation.

The board of education has written letters to the concerned institutions to impose Section 144 around the examination centers, and external interference has been banned at the centers. Photo stat shops  have been closed during the examinations.

The board has set up a reporting cell to monitor the exams and special teams have been formed to check cheating.

The board staff will be fully monitored during the examinations and the report will be compiled on a daily basis and submitted to the reporting cell.

The board has also made a written request to the K-Electric administration so that there is no loadshedding during the examinations.

The board office has released the online admit card and the list of examination centers. The vigilance teams will visit the examination centers on a daily basis.

Some schools had also applied to change the examination centers, which have been approved by the Controller of Examinations. These schools have been informed that the list of new examination centres has been uploaded on the official website of the board.

The board is also providing the facility to the students that the candidates who could not reach their examination center before time, they can reach the center according to their convenience.

According to the schedule of examinations, computer studies of class 10 will be taken in the morning shift and general science paper in the afternoon shift, the duration of which will be three hours.
