WhatsApp Rolls Out Beta 2.25.11.3 for Android – What’s New?
WhatsApp has released a new beta update for Android through the Google Play Beta Program, upgrading the version to 2.25.11.3. This latest update brings an exciting new feature that allows users to send avatar sticker messages in their chats. Currently, the feature is being rolled out to select beta testers and will gradually become available to more users in the coming weeks.
Avatar Stickers: A New Way to Personalize Chats
The avatar stickers feature is designed to enhance user communication by allowing the creation of personalized stickers featuring both the sender’s and recipient’s avatars. These stickers are generated automatically when both users mutually enable the avatar privacy settings. The new category, called “Together” stickers, appears in the sticker keyboard, providing a fresh way to express emotions and interactions through digital avatars.
Privacy Settings for Avatar Stickers
With this update, WhatsApp has introduced dedicated privacy settings for avatar stickers, ensuring users have control over how their avatars are used. The settings offer three options:
- My Contacts – Allows all saved contacts to use the avatar in stickers.
- Selected Contacts – Restricts access to a chosen group of people.
- Nobody – Prevents anyone from using the avatar in stickers.
If both users have mutually allowed avatar usage, WhatsApp will generate at least seven unique “Together” stickers, which will be different for each chat based on the specific avatars involved. However, if either user has restricted avatar access, the “Together” stickers will not appear, maintaining privacy and security.
Gradual Rollout and Compatibility
While the avatar stickers feature is currently rolling out with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.11.3, some users may also experience it with previous beta versions 2.25.11.1 and 2.25.11.2. However, not all beta testers will receive the feature immediately, as WhatsApp is deploying it in phases.
Enhancing Personalization with Privacy in Mind
The introduction of avatar stickers aims to make WhatsApp conversations more engaging and expressive while keeping privacy a top priority. The customization options allow users to reflect their personality in chats, while the privacy settings ensure full control over avatar visibility. This update represents WhatsApp’s ongoing commitment to improving digital interactions while maintaining user security.
As the rollout progresses, more beta testers will gain access to this feature, enhancing their WhatsApp experience with new, interactive sticker options.
