China mocks US over 245% tariffs, warns against pressure tactics

In response to the United States (US)’s claim of imposing tariffs of up to 245% on Chinese imports, China has mocked the US, saying that this trade war was first started by the US, and China only took countermeasures to protect its legal sovereignty and international justice, which are completely legitimate and legal.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Jian gave a strong statement at a press conference on the latest US claims and the trade war.

A new fact sheet published on the US White House website claimed that China is now facing tariffs of up to 245% on goods exported to the US due to its retaliatory actions.
