Former PM health setback
Former Prime Minister and President of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif has become unwell, due to which he has extended his stay in London.
President PML-N accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Belarus from where he arrived in London. According to sources, he came to London on a two-week visit.
Nawaz Sharif has also rescheduled his return ticket. Nawaz Sharif’s stay has been extended due to continuous medical check-ups.
The PML-N’s UK leadership also wants a workers’ convention in honor of Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari is on the mend after being hospitalized last week in Karachi. The veteran politician, known for his resilience through numerous health challenges over the years, is responding well to treatment according to his medical team.
Dr. Asim Hussain, the president’s longtime physician, told reporters outside the hospital that Zardari’s fever has subsided and his bloodwork shows promising signs of recovery.
“The infection is under control now,” Dr. Hussain said,. “He’s his usual feisty self – already asking about pending files and political matters.”
Dr. Asim Hussain also praised the decision to transfer President Zardari from Nawabshah to Karachi for treatment, calling it a wise move.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon refuted the reports relating to President Zardari’s health and said that his health was improving.
In a post on X, Sindh’s senior minister denied speculations about his shifting to Dubai, stating that these reports were inaccurate.
