Govt announces new prices of petrol and diesel - check new rates
Petrol prices are expected to drop by Rs8 per litre starting May 1, 2025. This expected drop comes as global oil prices continue to fall.
The government will soon announce the new petrol prices for the fortnight of May 2025.
OGRA’s Suggestions
According to reports, OGRA has suggested:
- Petrol price should go down by Rs8.27 per litre
- High-speed diesel by Rs6.96 per litre
- Light diesel by Rs7.21 per litre
- Kerosene oil by Rs7.21 per litre
Expected Petrol Price from May 1st
If approved, the new petrol price will be Rs246.36 per litre from May 1 to May 15. Diesel may be cut to Rs251.68 per litre. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will make the ultimate decision after consulting with his team.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan
Currently, petrol is priced at Rs256.13 per litre and high-speed diesel is Rs258.64 per litre in Pakistan.
