Turkey stands with Pakistan
Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statement on the rising tension between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam incident has come to light.
According to the Turkish news agency, the Turkish president has appealed for a reduction in the rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
Speaking to the media after the Turkish cabinet meeting, President Erdogan said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkey came at a sensitive time. Shehbaz Sharif’s visit came at a very sensitive time in the framework of the latest developments in the region.
He said that we discussed multilateral cooperation, especially in trade and the defense industry, and reiterated our strong support for the people of Pakistan.

He said that Turkey’s position has always been that we do not want new conflicts in our region and beyond.
