Former Love Island star Adam Collard has revealed he underwent back surgery this week, all while proudly cheering on fiancée Laura Woods as she returned to television just 13 weeks after giving birth to their son, Leo.
Adam, 29, shared updates from his hospital bed via Instagram, where he was seen in a hospital gown and using crutches after the procedure. Despite the pain and recovery process, he tuned in to watch Laura host TNT Sports’ Champions League coverage, where she led the semi-final broadcast between Barcelona and Inter Milan alongside Steve McManaman and Owen Hargreaves.
“Back Surgery. Completed it mate. Now watching my girl from the bed on her first day back,” Adam wrote. “Proud of her after only 13 weeks getting back into the mix… I can’t tell you how much she’s been my rock throughout this whole injury, process, and the last 6 months in general.”
The couple started dating in October 2023 and welcomed baby Leo in January this year. They shared the joyous news on Instagram with sweet photos and the caption, “Leo Ernie Collard, our boy,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Laura, 37, has since resumed work, glowing in her TV comeback while also embracing motherhood. The pair got engaged in September at the picturesque Carbis Bay, where Adam proposed on the beach.
Friends and fellow celebrities, including Love Island alumni and singer Lucy Spraggan, poured in their congratulations. Meanwhile, Adam continues to recover and support Laura from the sidelines, calling her his “whole world.”
