Pahalgam aftermath: Diplomatic, military tensions deepen
Pahalgam aftermath
In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, India has been blaming Pakistan without reliable evidence and has taken serious actions. The Indus Waters Treaty is held in abeyance, and Pakistanis are being deported from their territory. In response to these steps by India, Pakistan also deported Indian officials and banned airspace for India.
However, tensions remain high. India’s non-serious media persons and some Hindu extremists are stressing an attack on Pakistan. They are analyzing that India has a bigger GDP than Pakistan, and India has more weapons and armed forces than Pakistan. They were even saying they have more atomic warheads than Pakistan.
Here we would like to mention that winning a war doesn’t solely depend on military power. We have much history of wars where Muslims were looking weak, but they defeated the biggest opponents, but I will give an example from your book.
In the Mahabharata War, if you remember, the Pandavas were few, while the opposing side had a larger army and powerful warriors like Pita-Ma Besham, Guru Achari, Karana, and many more, but the Pandavas achieved triumph due to Lord Krishna’s strategic guidance.
This parallels the biased narratives in some Indian media outlets. Coming to the topic, if war happens, both countries will clash along their borders and lose some lives of some army soldiers. If the international community will not intervene to cease fire, then the war will go ahead. In this phase, they attack civilians from both sides.
International companies would likely evacuate from India and Pakistan, saving their lives and wealth. Business partners will withdraw from many agreements, and both countries will struggle to export agricultural goods, which will hit the economy of both countries. If still the international community does not intervene, India will use the first atomic weapon, and in response, Pakistan will also use nuclear warheads. The land of the countries will become the grave of innocent people. The atomic rays must disrupt neighboring countries, and they will try to stop them. Both countries will go back 300 years.
