Every drop of innocent blood will be accounted for: DG ISPR

07 May, 2025 22:14

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR),  Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that every last drop of innocent civilians’ blood will be fully accounted for.

During a press conference, DG ISPR stated that on the night of May 6 and 7, India targeted innocent civilians and children, if this isn’t terrorism, then what is? These innocent children, who had yet to experience the joys of life, are they the so-called terrorists India targeted that night? This is exactly what one can expect from India. We have seen this before, how India promotes terrorism through its proxies, and there is concrete evidence of this before the world.

He further said that when the state of Pakistan started to tighten its grip on terrorists, it itself resorted to terrorist acts with its own army, which targeted innocent civilians and children. If this is not terrorism, then what else is it?

He said that it has been proven how India is involved in international terrorism and murder, and this has been proven before the world with evidence.

DG ISPR said that the Indian army targeted mosques in various places in Pakistan and the Holy Quran was martyred. Which religion allows the martyring and desecration of places of worship of other religions and their holy books?

He further said that Pakistani forces chose military targets in response to Indian aggression and not children like India, and that these were military targets that were intended to target Pakistan’s sovereignty and its citizens.

DG ISPR said that Pakistan Air Force aircraft destroyed three Rafales, one Su-30 and one MiG-29 and that these aircraft were targeted because they were running away after dropping weapons (missiles). We are proud of our Air Force.

He further said that India is continuing to resort to unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations along the Line of Control, to which our troops are responding very effectively, and several enemy posts have also been destroyed.

The DG ISPR said that so far no Pakistani soldier has been martyred and no Air Force aircraft has been damaged.

He said that the timing of the Indian attack was also important. This attack was carried out when Pakistan was taking the international media to places that India had alleged were training camps and that terrorism was being carried out from here. Before the Indian allegations were proven wrong, it attacked on the night of May 6 and 7.

He said that today the Pakistani government has taken local and international media to visit these places and through them the world is seeing these places and deciding for itself whether they were centers of terrorism and whether there were any traces of terrorist training here or whether these were mosques that were martyred in the Indian attack.

The DG ISPR said that when India attacked on the night of May 6 and 7, 57 flights were in Pakistan’s airspace and India also put the lives of hundreds of thousands of passengers on board in danger. These flights were operated by airlines from different countries.

He said that India also damaged the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project through shelling, a move that was a clear violation of Articles 54 and 56 of the Geneva Convention.

The DG ISPR said that it was decided in the National Security Committee meeting today that Pakistan, exercising the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations, has given full authority to the armed forces to respond at the appropriate time, place and manner.

He said that the National Security Declaration states that in the end, I would like to say that the nation is proud of the Pakistani Armed Forces and the Pakistani Armed Forces are proud of their brave nation, and both are united against Indian aggression.

He said that we reiterate our resolve that our strong desire for peace should never be mistaken for weakness, because the Pakistani armed forces will never compromise on the security of their people and the security of their land.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said that he would like to pay tribute to the entire Pakistani nation for how they came together and spoke with one voice against this Indian aggression and how they stood shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani forces and stood with them like a leaden wall.

He said that all of you must be feeling this unity, this determination, and this anger all around you, in your streets, in your cities, in your villages.
