Haybe Nur Cabdiraxmaan Charged with Murder after Fatal Stabbing in Derby City Centre Bank

A man has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing inside a Lloyds Bank branch in Derby city centre.

The incident happened just after 2:30 PM (BST) on Tuesday at the bank located on St Peter’s Street. Police confirmed that Gurvinder Johal, aged 37, died as a result of the stabbing.

The suspect, Haybe Nur Cabdiraxmaan, 47, from Mickleover, a suburb of Derby, has now been formally charged with murder.

Mr. Cabdiraxmaan is scheduled to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 8 May.
