My New Plane Got Shot Down: Chinese Meme Song on Rafale Shot Down

Chinese song trolls India over Rafale jet destruction
As tensions continue to rise following the recent Pahalgam attack and India’s military aggression, Pakistani social media has been abuzz with taunts and memes mocking India’s war stance.
Now, Chinese social media influencers have added fuel to the fire, joining Pakistanis in trolling India’s reported military setbacks — particularly the loss of several Rafale fighter jets.
A satirical Chinese video, which has gone viral across platforms like Instagram and YouTube, shows influencers dressed in colorful costumes mimicking Indian turbans, complete with small model fighter planes attached to their headgear. Speaking in Chinese, they sing a mock song ridiculing the Indian Air Force and the Rafale jets, with translated lyrics that mockingly state:
“I purchased a jet, and it was seriously defeated.
Shameful, all jets destroyed.
Not even one returned home, 9 billion rupees lost.
All the people on the internet are laughing at us, shame on us.”
The video, widely circulated on Instagram and reposted by many Pakistani users, has become a trending reel. Pakistani audiences have reacted with humor and pride. One user commented, “The Chinese are teasing India’s Rafale defeats more than we are.” Another stated, “This is historic — French Rafales and Israeli drones taken down for the first time ever. It’s a major win for Pakistan and the Chinese-made J-10C jets. No wonder China is celebrating.”
Social media users have especially praised the creativity and boldness of the Chinese influencers. “No one could’ve roasted Rafale’s destruction like the Chinese just did,” one comment read.
The video follows India’s recent missile strikes on five locations in Pakistan. In retaliation, the Pakistan Air Force launched a powerful counter-operation, reportedly shooting down five Indian aircraft — including three Rafales. The incident has sparked widespread international attention and further intensified the online narrative.
