Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another drop on Friday, extending their recent downward trajectory in line with trends in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold declined by Rs1,800 per tola, settling at Rs350,900 in local trading.
The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,543, now standing at Rs300,840.
This decline follows Thursday’s sharp drop of Rs4,200 per tola, when gold closed at Rs352,700.
Globally, the precious metal also registered a fall, with the international rate slipping by $18 on Friday to $3,325 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, as reported by the APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable in the domestic market, maintaining their value at Rs3,417 per tola.
This continued dip in gold rates reflects broader market adjustments and investor responses to international economic indicators.
