Netizens Mock India by Listing Rafale Wreckage on OLX

09 May, 2025 19:59

A recent military encounter between India and Pakistan, which reportedly saw the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) down multiple Indian jets, has triggered a wave of online satire, with social media users mocking India over Pakistan’s claimed air dominance.

According to Western sources, on Wednesday, a Pakistan Air Force pilot flying a Chinese J-10 fighter jet successfully downed at least two Indian aircraft, including a French-built Rafale. The incident has garnered widespread attention from international media and military analysts.

Experts and commentators have since turned their focus to a detailed comparison between the missiles used in the engagement. The Chinese PL-15, deployed by the PAF, is being compared with the European-made Meteor missile, developed by MBDA, in terms of range, targeting, and effectiveness.

Meanwhile, Pakistani social media users have added a humorous spin to the escalating tensions. In a particularly viral stunt, some users humorously listed alleged pieces of a Rafale jet for sale on OLX, a local e-commerce platform known for buying and selling second-hand items.

The move has become a trending topic and added fuel to the ongoing meme war between netizens from both countries.
