Operation Bunyanun Marsoos: PM Shahbaz Calls National Command Authority
In response to escalating hostilities with India, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has convened an emergency session of the National Command Authority (NCA) following the launch of Operation Bunyanun Marsoos (Iron Wall).
According to security officials, the operation was launched by Pakistan early Saturday morning as a defensive move against “Indian aggression.” Reports confirm that the offensive targeted at least 12 strategic locations inside India.
The military action involved the deployment of Fateh-1 ballistic missiles, which reportedly struck several key Indian military installations. Notable targets included the Udhampur and Pathankot airbases, as well as a BrahMos missile storage depot.
“With the changing security scenario, the Prime Minister has summoned emergency talks with the National Command Authority — the organization tasked with the handling of strategic and nuclear affairs.”
Officials describe the missile strikes as a calibrated response to India’s continued provocations. The convening of the NCA underscores the gravity of the situation and the possibility of further strategic measures in light of regional tensions.
No official statement from the Indian side has yet been released regarding the reported damages or casualties.
