Global Market Impact

On the international front, spot gold traded around $3,216 per ounce, down $70.2 or 2.14% from the previous session. This marks its lowest level in over a week.

The global decline came after the United States and China reached a trade agreement to reduce mutual tariffs. This development strengthened the U.S. dollar, making gold less attractive as a safe-haven asset.
