Georgia Reid and Dad David O’Ryan Pulp Fiction Wedding Dance Goes Viral on TikTok

13 May, 2025 12:26

A father and daughter have won hearts all over the internet with their fun and nostalgic wedding dance. The duo recreated an iconic scene from the 1994 cult film Pulp Fiction—and the result was pure joy.

Georgia Reid, 28, and her dad David O’Ryan, 58, performed their version of the famous twist contest dance between John Travolta and Uma Thurman. The dance, set to Chuck Berry’s “You Never Can Tell,” was part of Georgia’s wedding celebration on January 18 at Mandalay House and Garden, South Australia.

Their clip, shared on TikTok under Georgia’s account @georgiaoryan, has gone viral—racking up over 3.5 million views and more than 270,000 likes.

“Dad and I are quite unserious people,” Georgia told Newsweek. “He raised me on Quentin Tarantino movies, and Pulp Fiction is one of our all-time favorites.”

In the video, Georgia and her dad copy the original dance moves almost exactly. Their energy, timing, and chemistry brought huge smiles to their wedding guests—and to millions online.

What made the moment even more special? They barely practiced together.

“We live 45 minutes apart,” Georgia shared. “We only rehearsed twice in person. I sent Dad a video of me dancing, and he practiced alone at home.”

Despite the minimal prep, their routine looked effortless. But more importantly, it was full of love and laughter.

“It didn’t have to be perfect,” Georgia said. “We just had so much fun. It’s a memory we’ll cherish forever.”

The rest of Georgia and her husband Jaydan Reid’s wedding also reflected their playful spirit. Guests enjoyed fireball shots during the ceremony, an ice cream truck at the cocktail hour, and a surprise live performance by Georgia herself—singing an original song for her new husband.

Viewers on TikTok couldn’t get enough of the father-daughter duo.

“So much better than the usual cringe novelty dances,” one user wrote.

“I stayed till the end even after the music stopped. Absolute class,” another added.

“Great movie. Beautiful bride,” said one more.

The internet has spoken: this heartwarming performance isn’t just a viral hit—it’s a timeless wedding memory.
