While the Denver Nuggets battled the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs, it was Christian Braun’s mom, Lisa Braun, who caught the internet’s attention.

The Nuggets lost the game 92-87, but fans watching at home couldn’t stop talking about Lisa. The former basketball star was in the crowd to cheer on her son during the Mother’s Day matchup.

Several NBA moms were also present, including Nicole Williams (mother of Thunder guard Jalen Williams) and Nicole Joe (mother of Isaiah Joe). Still, it was Lisa who stole the show.

Who Is Lisa Braun?

Lisa Braun isn’t new to the spotlight. She first made waves back during the 2022 NBA Draft, when she accompanied Christian to New York as he was picked 21st overall.

Before becoming a proud NBA mom, Lisa had her own basketball legacy. She played for the University of Missouri Tigers from 1987 to 1991 and earned All-Big Eight honors three times.

Lisa was also an All-State selection and was later inducted into the Missouri Hall of Fame. Impressively, six of her siblings also received the same Hall of Fame honor.

Christian Braun’s Game 4 Performance

Christian had a solid game despite the loss. He finished with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. While it wasn’t enough to beat the Thunder, the Nuggets will have a chance to bounce back in Game 5 at the Paycom Center.
