British Tourists Stab French Fighter Jugurtha Khaleche in Phuket Bar Brawl

14 May, 2025 14:31

A violent bar fight broke out in Phuket, Thailand on Saturday. The fight involved a group of British men and ended with the stabbing of a French tourist. Local police are now searching for three British suspects who fled the scene.

The fight took place at a popular nightlife area on the island. It began inside a restaurant and later continued into the street near the well-known Nomad Beach Club. The chaos was captured on video by a bystander and later shared online.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Jugurtha Nubel Khaleche. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter who was in Thailand attending training camps. During the fight, Khaleche was stabbed three times—twice in the back and once in the side.

Police say the suspects are Emilio Armani Bozzo, 34, Rory Billy Colhoun, 33, and Rayon Hamilton Craig, 28. All three men are believed to be from Leeds, UK. They reportedly escaped in a grey Mazda without visible licence plates.

The video shows Hamilton Craig wrestling with Khaleche on the ground. Colhoun is seen kicking and punching the French fighter, while Bozzo tries to move a chair out of the way and later steps back as a bouncer breaks up the fight.

A female tourist tried to stop the violence but was ignored. Loud music played in the background as the fight continued. Several other people tried to intervene, including security staff.

The bouncer eventually separated the men, but the fight spilled outside. That’s when the stabbing happened. Police arrived around 4:20 a.m. and found Khaleche bleeding on the street. He was rushed to Thalang Hospital and is now in stable condition.

Police reviewed CCTV footage and confirmed the suspects’ identities. One of them dropped a black iPhone at the scene. The phone’s SIM card was registered under Bozzo’s name, helping police confirm his involvement.

Authorities are now collecting enough evidence to request arrest warrants. They say all three men are still on the run. Their current location is unknown.

Nomad Beach Club said it had already closed by midnight and that the fight began at a different venue. Police confirmed this and have warned the bar involved.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Khajornkiat Khamwichairat said the victim is a well-known athlete with a large social media following. He confirmed that Khaleche had been staying in Thailand for some time.

The case is now under full investigation. Thai police are urging the public to help locate the suspects.
