Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp upward trend for the second consecutive day on Saturday, following a significant rise in international bullion rates.
According to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 2,400, reaching Rs. 338,500. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 2,098 to settle at Rs. 290,209.
In the same trend, 22-karat gold also experienced a rise, with the price of 10 grams going up by Rs. 1,886 to Rs. 266,034 in the local market.
Silver prices followed suit, showing gains both locally and internationally. The price of per tola silver increased by Rs. 33 to Rs. 3,410, while the price of 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs. 28 to Rs. 2,923.
Internationally, the gold market also showed strength. “The price of gold per ounce surged by $24 to $3,177.” Additionally, “the price of silver per ounce in the international market surged by $0.33 to $32.28,” as per APSGJA data.
