Rain and strong winds expected in many areas of Pakistan
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds in many areas across Pakistan, according to media reports on Saturday.
Rain and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum. Other cities like Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Narowal are also likely to see rain. Cloudy skies and rain are expected in Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, and Sialkot.
Some areas, such as Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, and Jhang, may also see heavy rain and hail.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and strong winds are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, and Shangla. The same goes for Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, and Waziristan. Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur are also likely to receive rain.
Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, and Kurram will get rain with strong winds. Light rain is expected in Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and D.I. Khan. Muzaffargarh, Taunsa Sharif, Khanewal, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur could also see rain and winds.
On the other hand, most parts of Sindh will remain extremely hot and dry. Coastal areas may face dust storms with strong winds in the afternoon.
In Balochistan, most areas will be hot and dry too, but there are chances of rain in Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Khuzdar, and Lasbela.
