CDA denies rumors of Metro Bus Fare increase in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cleared up confusion about metro bus fare hikes in Islamabad.

On Saturday, a CDA spokesperson said that the fares for the Orange, Blue, Green, and electric bus routes have not changed. He also confirmed that a notification going around on social media about increased fares is fake.

Earlier, some claims starting from May 26, 2025, the government had raised one-way fares for these bus services. The news caused concern among regular passengers.

However, the CDA has now made it clear that no fare hike has been announced, and the current rates for all metro and electric buses in Islamabad remain the same.
