Operation Sundoor: ISPR Expose India's Disinformation Campaign with Irrefutable Evidence
In a striking turn of events following the so-called Operation Sundoor, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan has presented irrefutable evidence debunking Indian media claims, exposing a calculated disinformation campaign.
According to sources, Indian media outlets aligned with the Modi government—commonly referred to as “godi media”—propagated false and misleading content, further destabilizing regional peace and damaging their international credibility. Leading channels including NDTV and News18 were reportedly central to constructing a fabricated narrative.
Indian media falsely claimed that they had shot down a Pakistani F-16 and two JF-17 fighter jets, and even alleged the capture of a Pakistani pilot. These unfounded assertions were widely broadcast during prime-time programming and dominated televised debates.
However, international outlets such as Reuters and various fact-checking organizations swiftly debunked these claims. Sources confirm that Indian propaganda also involved the circulation of deepfake videos—some falsely showing the Director General of ISPR acknowledging aircraft losses. These videos were later exposed as completely fabricated, further discrediting the Indian narrative.
“The line between fact, fiction, and drama has completely disappeared in Indian media,” sources stated, highlighting how sensational rumors—including a baseless claim of a missile strike on Pakistan’s nuclear assets—were quickly proven false. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) dismissed these reports as entirely unsubstantiated.
In another dramatic but unverified claim, India’s navy alleged the destruction of Karachi Port. Yet, no satellite imagery, international confirmation, or credible evidence was presented to support this narrative. Analysts believe such provocations were designed to stoke nationalist sentiments within India.
Sources also revealed that Indian media concocted a story of internal mutiny against Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal General Asim Munir—another fabrication that lacked any credible basis. Political analysts argue that Indian media chose to deflect public scrutiny from intelligence failures by embracing misinformation.
The Pahalgam incident was reportedly used by India as a state-level propaganda tool, inciting public calls for retaliation. In contrast, Pakistan’s response was measured, professional, and strategically mature. Despite India rejecting calls for an impartial investigation, Pakistan emphasized factual transparency, led firmly by ISPR.
Throughout the crisis, the DG ISPR, alongside senior officials from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy, held detailed and timely press briefings. These sessions presented radar logs, satellite imagery, flight data, and physical evidence to support Pakistan’s stance. In addition, ISPR granted international media access to the sites of the alleged attacks.
Following the Pahalgam incident, the ISPR conveyed a strong message: any aggression imposed on Pakistan would be met with a decisive and devastating response. DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend itself.
Pakistan not only presented solid evidence to its own population but also to the international community. Welcoming global observers and encouraging third-party investigations, analysts say, demonstrated Pakistan’s responsible and transparent approach.
Defense experts emphasized that in today’s age of hybrid warfare, fake news has become a strategic weapon. False ideological narratives, they argue, can obscure truth and mislead decision-makers—exactly what India attempted. However, those efforts have ultimately failed.
Pakistan, through disciplined information management and a professional approach, highlighted the truth and earned praise from international observers for its responsible conduct.
