Pakistan IT exports soar
Islamabad: During the first 10 months (July to April) of the current fiscal year 2024-25, IT exports have increased by more than 21 percent and crossed $3.14 billion.
The written details submitted by the Ministry of Information Technology to the Senate Standing Committee on IT stated that the registration of IT companies in Pakistan has increased by 19% while IT exports have increased by 21%. The sources claimed that from July to April, IT exports exceeded $3.14 billion.
According to the Ministry of IT, the registration of IT companies in Pakistan increased by 19 percent during this period. The number of companies registered with the Software Export Board has crossed 20,000, while a spokesperson for the Ministry of IT says that Pakistan’s IT industry exports are the highest among all services.
He said that Pakistan is being made an emerging hub in the digital services sector.
