Sana Yousuf Murder: Ayeza Khan Urges Everyone to be Careful on Social Media

04 June, 2025 13:27

The tragic murder of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf has deeply shaken people across Pakistan, sparking calls for justice and renewed focus on the dangers of social media. Among those speaking out, actress Ayeza Khan shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, urging everyone to be cautious about oversharing personal details online, especially when it comes to safety.

Sana, an MBBS first-year student, was reportedly killed in Islamabad’s G-13/1 area by a 22-year-old man after she repeatedly turned down his advances. The disturbing case has left many shaken, especially due to her young age and growing popularity online.

“Let’s all understand the pros and cons of social media, especially when it comes to our security. Keep your addresses, car numbers, regular spots, and children’s details private. It is not safe, it’s just not safe,” she wrote in her post.

She went on to explain how social media has changed over the years, and how the people viewing our content aren’t always those we know personally.

“Share less, Time has changed. Recognize that the audience you have today is not the one you personally chose. It’s from all over the world,” she added.

The message of Ayeza Khan serves as a wake-up call for many—especially young content creators—to be cautious about the details they post online. As the investigation into Sana’s tragic death continues, her story stands as a grim reminder of the real-life risks that can come with online fame.
