Iqra Aziz Voices Anger Over Reported Assault of 10-Month-Old

Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz responded with resentment and grief over the stated assault of a 10-month-old baby in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, describing, as a mother, the incident as intensely offensive and leaving her “numb” and “speechless.” The actress deepest reaction hit a chord with parents and social media users, ringing renewed attention to the need for stronger child safety actions and responsibility.

Iqra took her Instagram officials and shared a detailed story about her reactions after coming after reports about the dreadful incident. Being a mother to seven-month-old Sophia Hussain said, the reports had deeply affected her.

I have a seven month old baby in my arms, and I honestly don’t have the words to describe what I’m feeling. I am numb. Speechless. Angry beyond words,” she wrote in her Instagram story.

Expressing disbelief over the horrific act against a defenseless child, and raised a voice with frustration over the wider issues surrounding consent, boundaries, safety and respect.

“The only thought that keeps crossing my mind is how can anyone do this to a child? Why, how, and when did some men in Pakistan become so deeply disturbed that they feel entitled to take out their frustrations on women around them?” she questioned.

She also clarifying that her criticism of Pakistan stems from concern and does not reflect a lack of love for her homeland.

She stated, “I love Pakistan. I don’t think I could ever live anywhere other than Pakistan. This is my home. I love this country deeply. But loving Pakistan should never mean staying silent about what is broken in it.”

The Ranjha Ranjha Kardi star expressed a desire for a Pakistan where strong institutions protect children and parents no longer have to constantly fear for their safety.

She further wrote, “I want a Pakistan where my children are protected not just by my vigilance, but by a system that works. A Pakistan where predators are afraid of the law, not where parents are afraid for their children.”
