Electricity Becomes Cheaper for K-Electric Consumers – June Relief Announced

Electricity Supply Schedule Issued for Muharram 2025
The federal government has announced a major relief in electricity prices for K-Electric consumers in Karachi, while electricity has become more expensive for the rest of the country.
According to separate notifications issued by the authorities, the price of electricity for K-Electric users has been reduced by Rs2.99 per unit. On the other hand, for consumers in other parts of Pakistan, electricity has become costlier by Rs0.93 per unit.
The reduction in K-Electric’s rates is part of the monthly fuel cost adjustment for March 2025, and the relief will be applied to electricity bills issued in June 2025, the notification confirmed.
In contrast, the increase in power tariffs for the rest of the country is based on the fuel adjustment for April 2025, as per the notification.
This means that Karachi’s electricity consumers will see a reduction in their upcoming bills, while consumers in other cities will face higher charges.
