Haval H6 new price in Pakistan after budget 2025-26 tax hike
The popular Haval H6 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) performed well in Pakistan during the last fiscal year. But now, there is bad news for buyers, as the government has raised the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to 18%, possibly increasing the price of Haval H6 by up to Rs1 million.

This sudden tax increase is affecting well-known auto brands like MG, Hyundai, and Haval, making their top models much more expensive.
Haval H6 HEV, currently priced at Rs11.75 million, may rise to Rs12.78 million.
Haval Jolion HEV could go up from Rs9.3 million to Rs10.1 million, an increase of around Rs814,000.
Over the past year, vehicles like the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, and Haval H6 HEV have gained strong popularity in Pakistan. People are choosing these cars because they offer better fuel efficiency and are more environmentally friendly.
“Hybrid cars are becoming a smart choice in Pakistan, especially with fuel prices going up and people becoming more aware of the environment,” said a senior auto dealer.
Despite the strong demand, the government recently raised GST from 8.5% to 18% on hybrid and high-end vehicles. This move aims to generate more revenue but has sparked debate. Many believe it could hurt the growth of eco-friendly transport options.
Experts say the new tax mainly targets luxury and expensive vehicles, but it also affects the entire hybrid segment. Although the demand for HEVs remains high, the increased prices may cause buyers to delay or cancel their purchases.
