Devon and Cornwall Police have identified the two people who died in a skydiving accident at Dunkeswell Aerodrome on Friday, June 13, 2025. The victims were Belinda Taylor, 48, from Totnes, and Adam Harrison, 30, from Bournemouth. The accident happened around 1:00 pm BST.

Authorities confirmed both skydivers died at the scene. Their families have been informed, and police investigations are ongoing. British Skydiving and East Devon District Council’s Environmental Health and Safety Office are also involved in the inquiries.

British Skydiving expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy. They said on Saturday: “Our deepest condolences go to their families, friends, and the entire skydiving community.” The organization is fully cooperating with the investigation.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said it is aware of the incident but could not provide further details because the investigation is still active. A spokesperson added, “We will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand what happened and are awaiting the report into the incident.”

SkyDiveBuzz Dunkeswell, where the accident took place, called the event “devastating.” The company emphasized that safety remains their top priority and expressed heartfelt condolences to those affected.

Dunkeswell Aerodrome is a former Royal Air Force (RAF) base located in the Blackdown Hills area of Devon, near the Somerset border. The site was originally built as an American naval base during World War Two. It is also known as the highest licensed airfield in the UK, sitting at 839 feet (256 meters) above sea level.

Besides skydiving, the aerodrome offers other experiences such as Spitfire flight tours, wing-walking, and flight training for aircraft.
