Japanese Teachers Moriyama Yuji and Kosemura Fumiya Arrested for taking Indecent Images of Schoolgirls

Japanese police have arrested two elementary school teachers, Moriyama Yuji from Nagoya City and Kosemura Fumiya from Yokohama City, over serious misconduct involving students. Authorities said the teachers took inappropriate actions at schools and during activities, which led to their arrest.

The incidents reportedly took place from 2024 to 2025 in Aichi and Kanagawa prefectures. Investigators say Moriyama was leading a private group chat that included nearly 10 other teachers, where they shared school-related content.

Police confirmed that around 70 media files were exchanged in the group, some of which appeared to be taken at schools. The police believe the actions happened while the teachers were on duty.

Moriyama has now been handed over to prosecutors. Investigations are ongoing, and more individuals may be questioned as part of the case.

This incident has caused serious concern among parents and education authorities in Japan, who are expected to review school safety protocols.
