Bank timings increased [Check New Schedule]

KARACHI – In a customer-friendly move, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has extended the working hours at 153 selected branches across Pakistan to provide greater convenience to account holders.

According to an official announcement posted on HBL’s Facebook page, the extended hours will be effective from Monday to Friday, allowing the selected branches to operate from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

“Your time, our priority. HBL branches are now open for extended hours. Visit selected branches from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM,” the post read.

This step has been taken to accommodate the growing needs of customers who may not be able to visit during traditional banking hours. The bank has not yet released a list of all selected branches, but customers are advised to contact their nearest HBL branch or visit the official website for confirmation.

SBP Announces Bank Holiday on July 1

Meanwhile, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that Tuesday, July 01, 2025, will be observed as a bank holiday across the country.

As per SBP’s notice:

• All public and private banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) will remain closed for public dealing on that day.

• However, bank employees are expected to attend office as per their normal working schedule.

“This closure is part of the routine procedure to ensure the smooth closing of books and proper financial reconciliation,” SBP clarified.

Normal banking services, including public dealing, will resume on Wednesday, July 02, 2025.
