Over Rs 2 Million Fine Imposed on 10 Punjab MPAs for vandalism

Lahore: A heavy fine was imposed on 10 members of the Punjab Assembly on charges of vandalism.
According to the notification, a fine of more than 2 million rupees has been imposed on 10 members who broke the microphone in the assembly session.
The members who were fined include Javed Kausar, Asad Abbas, Muhammad Tanveer Aslam, Syed Rifaat Mahmood, Muhammad Ismail, Shahbaz Ahmed, Imtiaz Mahmood, Khalid Zubair, Rana Aurangzeb, and Muhammad Ahsan.
The notification states that a fine of Rs. 23,550 per person has been imposed for damaging government property.
A decision was made on the basis of video evidence in the June 16 meeting, and action will be taken against members who do not pay the fine within 7 days.
