Pakistani passport now offers easier access to over 30 countries – check list

Pakistani passport holders can now travel visa-free or get visa-on-arrival in over 30 countries, showing big improvement in the country’s global travel position.
According to the 2025 Global Passport Index by Henley & Partners, Pakistan’s passport has moved up to 100th place, a rise from its 113th spot in 2021. This positive change reflects Pakistan’s growing international ties and diplomatic efforts.
Officials say the improvement comes from better foreign relations and new travel agreements. One major development is a recent deal between Pakistan and the UAE, where official and diplomatic passport holders from both countries are now exempt from visa requirements. This step is expected to make official travel smoother and help strengthen ties between the two countries.
A Foreign Office official called it a “positive milestone,” saying that easier travel can boost trade, tourism, and international cooperation.
