BISP Update: Payments Paused on July 1, 2025 – Details Inside

01 July, 2025 13:20

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) temporarily paused all payments on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The break is part of routine system maintenance, and beneficiaries are advised not to worry, as payments will resume on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

According to the BISP management:

No payments will be made on Tuesday, July 1
All payments will resume from Wednesday, July 2

Why Was the Payment Paused?

BISP occasionally carries out system updates or data verification procedures to ensure accurate payment distribution. These brief pauses help maintain proper records and ensure a smoother experience at payment centers like JazzCash, HBL Konnect, and BISP camps.

Who Is Affected?

All BISP beneficiaries expecting to collect payments on July 1 are affected. They should avoid visiting shops or centers today to save time and transport costs.

What to Do Now?

Beneficiaries are advised to:
  • Do not visit retailer shops today (July 1)
  • Wait until Wednesday, July 2, when payments restart
  • Check your payment status online or by SMS after the system resumes
  • Keep your original CNIC ready for biometric verification

How to Check BISP Payment Status:

  1. SMS Method:
    • Send your 13-digit CNIC to 8171 and wait for the payment status reply.

  2. Online Method:
  • Visit 8171.bisp.gov.pk
  • Enter CNIC and captcha, then click “Maloom Karen”

Key Reminder:

This is not a permanent suspension. It is a one-day technical pause only. Regular payments will continue from July 2, 2025.

Stay informed through official sources and avoid fake news. BISP services remain free, and no fees should be paid to agents or shopkeepers.
