Elon Musk Threatens to Launch ‘America Party’ Over US Spending Bill

Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Tesla and SpaceX, has warned that if the US Senate passes a new bill that increases government spending, he will announce the formation of a new political party, the America Party.

Musk said on the social media platform “X,” “The members of Congress who broke their promises to the public and increased the national debt to a record high should be ashamed. If this were the last thing I do in my life, I would defeat them in the next election.”

He added, “If this bill is passed, the ‘America Party’ will be formed the very next day.”

We need an alternative to the like-minded ‘uniparty’ of Democrats and Republicans.

Musk said the bill would increase the US budget deficit to $3.3 trillion over the next 10 years, sending future generations into debt slavery.

The bill under consideration in the Senate includes tax cuts, government spending cuts, and some revenue-raising proposals.

But Musk believes the bill benefits the industries of the past rather than the economy of the future (electric vehicles, modern energy).
