The Punjab government has continued its efforts to support maternal and child health by expanding the Aghosh Program under the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. This welfare initiative provides financial assistance and health-related guidance to pregnant and breastfeeding women across 11 selected districts in Punjab.

Eligible women can now easily check their enrollment status and payment details through the official portal: payment.pspa.gop.pk or by calling the helpline at 1221 for assistance and complaints.

About the Aghosh Program

Launched as part of the Punjab Ehsaas Project, the program aims to improve maternal and child health by offering:

• Financial aid during pregnancy and after childbirth
• Incentives for regular medical checkups
• Education on nutrition and newborn care

Who Can Apply?

Low-income, pregnant, or nursing mothers from these 11 districts:
Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Khushab, and Lodhran.

Documents Required:

• CNIC
• Birth certificate (if applicable)
• Vaccination card
• Doctor’s note confirming pregnancy

Common Questions:

Mothers can receive up to Rs. 17,000 or more based on check-ups. JazzCash is used for secure payments. No fees are required for registration or checking eligibility.
