Pakistan Heads UN Security Council: Diplomatic Defeat for India
In a major diplomatic development, Pakistan has been appointed President of the United Nations (UN) Security Council. This appointment marks a significant setback for India’s ongoing propaganda campaign against Pakistan on the international stage.
Just days prior to this appointment, Pakistan was also made Vice-Chair of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee, further highlighting its growing role in global counterterrorism efforts.
Pakistan’s increasing global recognition has triggered political unrest in India, sparking a heated confrontation between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress party.
Congress leaders have launched sharp criticism against the Modi government, accusing it of failing diplomatically. Pawan Khera, Congress Head of Media and Public Relations, stated, “The Modi government has failed to isolate Pakistan globally after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. After the Pahalgam attack, the Modi government has betrayed both the soldiers and the public by ignoring their sacrifices.”
Congress leader Renuka Chaudhary also took to social media to express her concerns. In her post, she questioned:
“My question to Modi is: Has our foreign policy failed?”
“Why are the four terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack still free?”
“Who is responsible for the intelligence failure following the Pahalgam incident?”
“151 visits, 72 countries, countless diplomatic meetings, yet no success. The public deserves an immediate explanation.”
“After the Pahalgam attack, the Modi government spread a false narrative against Pakistan.”
“The global diplomatic campaign to portray Operation Sindoor as a counter-terrorism success proved to be a failure and based on lies.”
“The false campaign around Operation Sindoor has failed miserably at the international level.”
“Modi’s failed diplomatic strategy has pushed India into global isolation.”
This series of events underscores a significant shift in international diplomacy, with Pakistan gaining prominence and India’s narrative facing mounting skepticism on the world stage.
