There is Uniform Behind Iran-Israel Ceasefire Too: Mohsin Naqvi

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stated that “there is a uniform behind the Iran-Israel ceasefire.”

Speaking with scholars from various schools of thought, Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his gratitude for their presence and emphasized the vital role of religious scholars in society. He said that scholars have always played an important part in maintaining peace.

He highlighted that promoting religious harmony during the month of Muharram is extremely important, adding, “Our collective belief should be: don’t abandon your own sect, but don’t attack anyone else’s. Imam Hussain (RA) does not belong to one sect — he belongs to everyone.”

Narrating past incidents, Naqvi shared, “In the war with India, divine help and support were with us. When we fired missiles toward India, there was a slight error in the coordinates of one missile. We were all worried, as we didn’t want to harm any civilian area or cause the death of even a single civilian. They targeted our civilians, but we would not do the same.”

He added, “We feared the missile might land in a populated area, but with Allah’s help, it hit India’s largest oil depot and caused a major fire. The biggest fire seen in Indian videos is from that very missile.”

Continuing, he said, “Another incident was when India fired 9 or 11 missiles at one of our airbases, where our aircraft and personnel were present. We were deeply concerned about the potential damage, but not a single missile hit the base — some fell short, and others went long. These are clear signs of divine intervention that we personally witnessed.”

He also mentioned, “At that time, the Army Chief stood firmly and clearly stated that if India attacked, it would suffer four times the damage — and it did.”

Naqvi announced that after Muharram, the government would visit scholars from all schools of thought and ensure that on August 14, they all offer the Zuhr prayer together at Faisal Mosque as a unified message to the world.

Regarding security in the country, he said, “Terrorism is at its peak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We will go there together to meet with scholars, especially in areas most affected by terrorism. Terrorism can only end when locals stop supporting terrorists. The day that support ends, terrorists will no longer survive in those streets, neighborhoods, or villages.”

He concluded by saying, “There is a uniform behind the Iran-Israel ceasefire as well. The Prime Minister has played an important role in facilitating the ceasefire between Iran and Israel.”
