Ayaz Sadiq Declines Pay Raise, Writes Letter to PM Amid Khawaja Asif’s Criticism

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has written a letter to the Prime Minister due to Khawaja Asif’s continued criticism and allegations against him.

According to the sources from the Speaker’s Office, the Speaker has left the matter of his salary to the discretion of the Prime Minister. He has no connection or interest in the salary issue. The decision to increase salaries lies with the federal cabinet and the Prime Minister, not with him, sources emphasized.

The sources revealed that the Speaker has reportedly stated, “Even if my salary is not increased, I have nothing to do with this matter.”

Meanwhile, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq is avoiding responding to Khawaja Asif’s accusations, as per sources. The Speaker has refused to accept the increased salary in his letter. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will decide on the matter.

The parliamentary sources claimed that Khawaja Asif is only targeting the Speaker with his criticism.
