ANF Lahore Qalandars Drug Awareness
LAHORE– The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan and Lahore Qalandars have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to combat drug abuse through youth engagement and awareness campaigns.
The agreement was signed by Brigadier Sikandar Hayat, Commander of ANF Punjab, and Rana Atif, CEO of Lahore Qalandars, during a special ceremony in Lahore.
Under the MoU, both organizations will collaborate to educate the youth about the harmful effects of drugs. Lahore Qalandars will support the cause through sports activities and outreach programs aimed at spreading awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
This partnership marks a major step in the fight against drug abuse in Pakistan, especially among young people.
However, on the other side, on Wendnesday, July 2, 2025, the Pakistan Meteorological Department announced that monsoon rains are expected to start in parts of Sindh, including Karachi. According to the department’s spokesperson Anjum Nazir, moist monsoon winds have begun entering southeastern Sindh.
The weather system is likely to bring rainfall to areas such as Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, and Mithi starting today until July 5. Karachi may see light rain and drizzle during this period.
Anjum Nazir also said that from July 8 to July 11, Karachi could experience moderate rain with stronger showers. The weather in Karachi is expected to be cloudy and humid today, with increased moisture in the air.
Residents are advised to prepare for wet conditions and possible disruptions caused by rain. The Meteorological Department will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
