Filipino-Chinese businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang has filed criminal complaints against his former employees after being accused of ordering the killings of over 100 cockfighting fans, also known as sabungeros.

Ang personally filed the complaints on Thursday morning at the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office, accompanied by top lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan. The charges were filed against Julie Patidongan, also known as “Totoy”, and Alan Bantiles, also known as “Brown”.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said it is ready to assist if requested by the Philippine National Police (PNP). According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, forensic experts can help examine any remains found in Taal Lake.

The Philippine Coast Guard confirmed that 60 divers are prepared for underwater recovery. However, due to the lake’s depth of 174 meters, the search has been challenging. So far, divers have only reached 100 meters.
