TikTok to launch new app for US market over ban fears

TikTok is working on a special version of its app for US users to avoid a possible ban. This comes after a new law in the US that asks TikTok’s Chinese parent company ByteDance to sell its US business.

  ByteDance reportedly has until September 17 to finalize the sale of TikTok’s US operations. Former President Donald Trump recently said that a deal with US investors is “pretty much” done, but the agreement still needs approval from both the US and Chinese governments.
