Punjab Excise Hikes Vehicle Transfer Fees – July 2025
The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has increased the vehicle transfer fee by 10 percent, effective July 2025, according to local media reports.
Revised Transfer Fees by Vehicle Category
The fee hike affects vehicles across various engine capacities, from motorcycles to heavy transport vehicles (HTVs). The revised charges are as follows:
Cars from 650cc to 1000cc
The transfer fee has been raised by Rs275, bringing the new total to Rs3,025.
Common vehicles in this category include Suzuki Alto, Suzuki Cultus, and Toyota Vitz.
Cars from 1000cc to 1800cc
The fee has gone up by Rs500, with the new transfer fee now Rs6,050.
Cars above 1800cc
A Rs1,100 increase has been applied, setting the new rate at Rs12,100.
Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV)
For HTVs, the fee has been increased by Rs550, now fixed at Rs6,050.
Motorcycles
The transfer fee for motorcycles has gone up by Rs55, now totaling Rs605.
Online Transfer Services Available
The Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department continues to offer online services via e-Pay and MTMIS. These platforms help streamline ownership transfers and make it easier for users to track their applications.
The department reminds all buyers and sellers to submit complete documents, including:
- Original Registration Book
- CNIC copies (both parties)
- Sale Deed
- Transfer Application
