British Tourist Killed in Bali Scooter Crash, Friend Critically Injured

A British man died, and his friend is in critical condition after a motorbike crash in Bali. The accident happened early in the morning on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, on the Singaraja–Seririt road in Buleleng Regency, north Bali.

The two men were riding home after a night out. They were each riding a rented Honda Vario scooter. A truck in front of them suddenly stopped. The first rider could not stop in time and crashed into the back of the truck. His friend also hit the truck right after.

The crash was very serious. The impact crushed both scooters. The two men fell by the side of the road. The truck driver did not stop and left the scene.

Police came after people nearby called for help. The 34-year-old man had bad injuries to his face, hands, and legs. He also had a deep cut on his thigh. He was taken to Parama Sidhi General Hospital, but doctors said he had already died.

The second man, 32 years old, was also badly hurt. He is now in critical condition at BIMC Hospital Nusa Dua in south Bali.

Police are looking for the truck driver. They are asking anyone with information to come forward. A police officer, Iptu Yohana Rosalin Dias, said that witnesses saw the truck driving away after the crash.

Bali is a popular place for tourists, but there are many accidents, especially on scooters. Many visitors are not used to the traffic rules. The roads can also be very busy and dangerous.
