Innocent Victims’ Blood Will Not Go Unavenged: PM Condemns Balochistan Bus Massacre

11 July, 2025 10:03

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday strongly denounced the abduction and murder of bus passengers in the Sardhaka area of Balochistan, pledging that the innocent victims’ blood would not go unavenged.

In a statement issued by the PM House in Islamabad, the premier declared, “We will deal with terrorists with full force. The blood of innocent people will be avenged.”

Referring to the attack as blatant terrorism by Fitnat al Hindustan, Shehbaz Sharif said, “With resolve, unity, and strength, we will confront the scourge of terrorism and uproot it completely.”

At least nine passengers from two Punjab-bound buses were abducted and brutally killed by Fitna al Hindustan in Sardhaka, located along the border of Zhob and Loralai districts, on Thursday night.

Zhob Assistant Commissioner Naveed Alam confirmed, “Nine people abducted from both vehicles have been killed, and their bodies have been recovered,” adding that the bodies were being sent to Rakhni to be transported to their hometowns in Punjab.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind also confirmed the tragic event, stating that the group known as Fitna al Hindustan was behind coordinated attacks at three locations — Kakat, Mastung, and Sardhaka.

The attack took place near the N-70 highway close to Dab, where two coaches en route to Punjab were stopped by armed assailants. After blocking the road, the attackers boarded the buses, checked passengers’ identity cards, and forcibly removed ten individuals at gunpoint.

“They dragged out 10 passengers — seven from one bus and three from the other — and took them away,” said a surviving passenger to the Levies.

After abducting the victims, the attackers allowed both buses to continue their journey.

In response, security forces suspended traffic on the route and launched a large-scale search operation to track down the culprits.

The victims hailed from cities including Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Gujranwala, Lodhran, Attock, and Gujrat. Among the deceased were two brothers who had traveled to Balochistan to attend their father’s funeral.

President Asif Ali Zardari Denounces Killings of Passengers

President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly denounced the ruthless killing of passengers in Balochistan.

He stated that terrorists forcibly removed innocent people from a bus and killed them mercilessly, calling this act of brutality a vile conspiracy by Fitna-e-Hindustan aimed at spreading violence in Pakistan.

He emphasized that Fitna-e-Hindustan seeks to sow disorder and insecurity in the country, and vowed that Pakistan will be completely cleared of this group and its supporters.

President Zardari also affirmed that the fight against terrorism will continue until it is fully eliminated. He expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, standing with them in their grief.

Mohsin Naqvi Condemns Killings

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the Sardhaka terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of nine innocent passengers.

In his message to the families of the victims, Naqvi expressed deep condolences, stating that “the entire nation will thwart the evil designs of Indian sponsored terrorist and their facilitators.”
He vowed relentless pursuit, saying terrorists would be eliminated “at all cost.”

CM Bugti Vows to Eliminate All Terrorists

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also condemned the killings, calling the incident “open terrorism” linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.

Bugti made a strong pledge to destroy all terror groups associated with the outfit, declaring, “We will crush every single terror plan with full force, unwavering resolve, and complete unity.”

He emphasized the victims were deliberately targeted due to their identity, labeling the act as “an unforgivable crime.”
The attackers, he said, had again demonstrated their “cowardly and beastly nature,” and vowed, “Our response will be tough and decisive,” asserting that this was “a war against the state.”
