BYD Shark 6 PHEV Pakistan Arrival – Check Price, Specs & Launch Date

BYD Pakistan is gearing up to officially launch the Shark 6 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) on July 25, 2025, making it the country’s first-ever plug-in hybrid pickup truck.

The Shark 6 was earlier displayed at the Pakistan Auto Show 2024 and is now set to take on popular fuel-powered pickups like the Toyota Hilux Revo, ISUZU D-Max, and JAC T9 Hunter.

Exterior Styling & Build

The BYD Shark 6 features a shark-themed front grille with sharp, aerodynamic lines and LED headlamps and taillights. It stands on 18-inch alloy wheels with Continental tires. Other highlights include a shark-fin antenna, roof rails, and a bold design inspired by the Ford Raptor.

Interior & Technology

Inside, the Shark offers a sporty black-and-orange interior with supportive seating. It boasts modern features such as a rotating touchscreen, NFC-based keyless entry, voice command, and driver assistance tools, including:

• Blind-spot monitoring
• Radar-based safety alerts
• Lane-keeping assist
• Fatigue detection system

Engine, Battery & Driving Range

Under the hood, the Shark combines a 1.5L petrol engine with dual electric motors, delivering a total power of 321 kW. It houses a 58 kWh battery, offering:

• 80 km electric-only range
• 800 km total range

Fuel efficiency is estimated at 13 km/litre. The vehicle includes regenerative braking and all-wheel drive for versatile performance.
