Pakistan, Bahrain Agree to Boost Security Cooperation

Pakistan Bahrain Security Cooperation
Manama – Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Bahrain’s Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa in Manama to discuss ways to strengthen security ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, and drug control. They also reviewed the work of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee and discussed making it more effective in dealing with regional and global security challenges.
The Bahraini minister called Naqvi’s visit an important opportunity to deepen security coordination. Naqvi stressed the need for stronger cooperation between the two interior ministries, especially in fighting drugs and human trafficking. He also invited his Bahraini counterpart to visit Pakistan.
Senior officials from both countries, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Saqib Rauf, attended the meeting.
Naqvi was warmly received at Bahrain International Airport and later honored with a guard of honour at the Interior Ministry headquarters.
