In a significant move aimed at enhancing the travel experience, Pakistan Railways has announced the introduction of dining cars, onboard kitchens, and free services on various trains.

According to official details, dining cars will soon be added to the Pakistan Express, Karachi Express, and Millat Express, while the Jaffar Express will be equipped with a dedicated kitchen facility.

In addition, complimentary services will be offered on railcars operating between Lahore and Rawalpindi, including Subak Raftar, Subak Kharam, Islamabad Express, and Rawal Express.

To facilitate these service upgrades, the Railway Headquarters has floated a tender to outsource catering services. Interested firms and service providers are invited to submit their technical and financial bids by August 5, 2025.

This initiative is part of Pakistan Railways’ broader efforts to modernize its operations and offer a more comfortable and high-quality travel experience for both long-distance and intercity passengers.
