Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has clarified that there is no pressure from the US on Pakistan to recognize Israel.
Speaking at a public event in Dallas, Ambassador Sheikh emphasized that Pakistan’s stance on Israel remains consistent with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He noted that relations between Pakistan and the United States are steadily improving.
This statement comes in the wake of developments following the Iran-Israel ceasefire, after which former US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed that several countries—once considered unlikely—are preparing to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.
US officials also disclosed that Saudi Arabia has agreed to join the normalization agreement with Israel, though certain obstacles have delayed the finalization of the process.
