PSX Soars to Historic Peak at 140,460 Points, Rupee Gains Slightly

PSX falls over 1,400 points due to heavy selling
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) marked a significant milestone on Friday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index surged to its highest level in the country’s history, surging past 140 points.
On the last trading day of the week, a strong bullish trend dominated the market. As the session opened, the index gained 1,794 points, pushing it up to an unprecedented 140,460 points.
This development followed Thursday’s robust performance, when the index closed at 138,665 points after recording a substantial increase of 2,285 points.
In a related development, the interbank market saw a minor dip in the value of the US dollar, which declined by 3 paisas. As a result, the dollar was being traded at Rs. 284.94.
